Half Moon Bay says...
The original Live album always
had you asking and, in most cases, begging for more. And,
at last, here is that more! Just the use of the 'Jupiter'
intros alone make it all seems more like a document of
a real Mott show.
This Anniversary package looks and sounds gorgeous: sleeve
notes from Brian May (very affectionate), Dale Griffin
and snippets from Campbell Devines book, the original sleeve
art and notes provided as a booklet which has plenty of
extra and new (to me) photos.
The music is much brighter and punchier than the original.
Bender sounds teriffic and it sounds as if everyone was
having the time of the lives. And listening to this with
21st century ears it is, once again, amazing to hear just
how good it all sounds. What a band. What a set. A worthy
addition to your collection.
At last, Mott the Hoople Live has come of age.
