Half Moon Bay says... Just
a few words about Rays debut solo CD.
Once again, Angel Air give us all something to enjoy and
savour. This is, I have to admit, a lot better than I expected
it to be. Don't know why I should have felt that, but there
you go.
Good writing, some shared with Sandy Dillon, and great
playing. The cover of Pete Green's 'Love That Burns' is
spine-tingly wonderful and, if it had been put out by Gary
Moore, for example, then it would have been raved about
by Mojo and the like.
For me, 'Writing on the Wall' is another stand-out track,
but after all these plays I can't think of a real duffer
in this set. Highly recommended.
