Half Moon Bay says... As with most of the Angel Air Mott related CDs this one comes with a booklet chock full of notes and reminisces. Morgan really does set the scene for his music.

RCA in Italy asked him to do a solo album at the same time his then band — Morgan — were recording their second album "The Sleeper Wakes". As such, a lot of the music is very similar, but he's working on ideas and themes and allowing himself to follow more personal musical ambitions with this work.

It is all interspersed with some recordings from Morgans Mott days and a couple of neat re-workings of two MTH classics.

Again, I like this kind of thing anyway, but Mott the Hoople it ain't, so buyer beware. Originally released in 1984, but this is, as we have already said, an excellently packaged CD so fans of Morgan would not be disappointed.
